American International Group and affiliated carriers filed a civil complaint in a California federal court against two dozen companies and providers it claims participated in the Pacific Hospital of Long Beach kickback scheme.
The complaint alleges a mix of defendants, including some who have pleaded guilty and others who haven’t been charged with any crimes relating to spinal surgery kickbacks, of unfair business practices, fraud, conspiracy and unjust enrichment for failing to disclose invoices were for services generated by illegal referral fees.
