The Oklahoma Supreme Court on Tuesday suspended an Oklahoma City attorney for mishandling a client’s workers’ compensation settlement proceeds.
While Justice Douglas Combs opined that attorney Theodore Koss Jr. ought to be disbarred, a majority of the court concluded that a suspension of two years and one day was sufficient.
In 2016, Fredy Escobar hired Koss to represent him in a workers' compensation matter. During the pendency of the case, Escobar was arrested and incarcerated at the Great Plains Correctional Facility in Hinton.
