The California Supreme Court last week denied review of another constitutional challenge to the lien provisions of Senate Bill 863.
Dr. Robin Chorn, an anesthesiologist in Los Angeles, and three injured workers had been arguing that the $150 lien filing fee implemented as of Jan. 1, 2013, had been a deprivation of due process, violation of equal protection and infringement upon the right to petition to government for a redress of grievances.
