CMS Updates Set-Aside Reference Guide

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services updated its Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement reference guide.

The reference guide includes information for attorneys, Medicare beneficiaries, claimants, insurance carriers and MSA vendors. Version 3.0 of the reference guide, updated Monday, can be downloaded here.

At the same time, CMS updated the Self-Administration Toolkit for work comp set-asides. Medicare beneficiaries who decide to self-administer their set-aside should review the latest toolkit, version 1.3, updated Oct. 10, available here.

CMS will host a webinar to highlight new Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Electronic Attestation requirements Wednesday for professional administrators. More information is here.
