Supreme Court Denies Review of 2 Comp Cases

The California Supreme Court this week denied review of two workers' compensation cases, including a lien payment dispute. Tri-County Medical Group had provided services to an injured worker named Gladys Paz from July 1, 2013, through Dec. 23, 2013. Tri-County filed a lien claim in October 2015, seeking payment from the carrier for Paz's employer, SeaBright Insurance Co. A workers' compensation judge determined that the claim was untimely.
