Roofing Company Cited for Alleged Fall Hazards

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a roofing company for exposing employees to fall and other hazards at a work site in St. Johns, Florida. Coastal Roofing Inc., based in Jacksonville, faces $105,283 in proposed penalties in connection with the citations, issued Aug. 14. The company has 15 business days to contest the citations. Coastal Roofing was cited for allegedly failing to ensure that employees used a fall-protection system.
