A New York couple is charged with defrauding the workers’ compensation system while bidding on a rehabilitation project for the city of Amsterdam, New York State Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott said.
Scott’s office charged Alan Jon Squires, 47, with two felonies — criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and three counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree. Bonnie Jean Squires, 46, was charged with felony forgery in the second degree.
