A policy committee of the California Assembly unanimously passed a bill that would require contractors to disclose the classification codes endorsed on their workers’ compensation policies.
The Assembly Business and Professions Committee voted 18-0 on Tuesday to pass AB 336, by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, D-Riverside.
The bill would require contractors to certify the workers’ compensation classification codes that are endorsed on their policy when renewing their license, starting in July 2024.
