The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that a self-employed landscaper who continued working while collecting disability benefits was ordered to pay $23,611 in restitution.
Cory Kovach, 37, was accused of performing landscaping and snowplowing services from September 2019 to September 2020 and hiding his work activity from the bureau.
He pleaded guilty to one count of fraud in February.
On Friday, the BWC announced that he was ordered to pay restitution and sentenced to five years of probation.
