Changes to ASC Payment Rules Up for Review

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that its ambulatory surgical center payment rules are pending a “common-sense” review. The rules would update fees for relevant joint replacement procedures and adopt Medicare’s reimbursement updates for 2022. The BWC said in a notice that the rules would also maintain Ohio inflation of Medicare base rates for orthopedic, pain management and device intensive services.
