The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California on Friday reported a similar mix of COVID-19 claims for accident years 2020 and 2021.
Claims for COVID-19 shared a similar mix of mild cases, ones requiring hospitalization and ones resulting in death, the WCIRB said in its updated report, “Medical Characteristics of COVID-19 Claims and ‘Long COVID’ in the California Workers’ Compensation System — 2023 Update.”
