The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation is accepting comments on its proposed Medical Quality Review audit plan for 2026.
The audit plan sets priorities for the agency's annual audits. The division said it will select one audit focused either on the medical necessity and appropriateness of prescribing topical analgesics or on evaluating utilization review agent peer review reports for compliance with the Official Disability Guidelines, accepted standards of care and appropriate reviewer selection.
