Federal prosecutors have charged a New York doctor with accepting bribes in return for referring blood tests to a New Jersey clinical laboratory, the 39th person to be charged in the case.
A grand jury indictment alleges that 50-year-old Dr. Bret Ostrager of Woodbury took monthly cash payments, delivered by Fed-Ex, in return for referring blood work to Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services in Parsippany, New Jersey. Ostrager is scheduled to be arraigned before U.S. District Judge Stanley Chesler on Wednesday.
