Worker Can Pursue Retaliation Claim Despite Arbitrator's Decision Upholding Termination

The Connecticut Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that an injured worker could pursue a retaliation claim despite an arbitrator’s earlier finding that the man was not wrongly fired. Simon Williams had worked for the City of New Haven in its refuse division. He injured his shoulder, neck and back while at work in January 2011.
