The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services announced that employer assessments need to increase next year to cover its costs of administering the state’s workers’ compensation system and workplace safety laws.
The premium assessment rate for insured employers will increase, to 7.8% from 7.4% in 2019, DCBS announced on Friday. The assessment for self-insured employers will increase, to 8% from 7.6%, as well the assessment for public self-insured employer groups.
The assessment for private self-insured employer groups will increase, to 8.8% from 8.4%.
