The assessment rate for the Florida Workers' Compensation Administration Trust Fund has dropped for the eighth straight year, state regulators announced Friday.
The fund covers the operating costs of the Division of Workers' Compensation, and for calendar year 2020 the assessment rate will drop, from 0.90% to 0.79%. The rate is applied to net premium collected by carriers and to the premium calculated by the Department of Insurance for self-insurers.
