OSHA Alleges Variety of Code Violations at Rural Wood Shop, Fines Owners $133,540

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed $133,540 in fines against a rural Ohio wood pallet manufacturer after inspectors allegedly found a host of hazards ranging from amputations to explosions. Inspectors have cited A&D Wood Products in Elida for 27 code violations, according to a Thursday press release. Four of those were classified as "willful," meaning inspectors found that they were committed with knowing disregard for safety standards, and another four were classified as "repeat," meaning the company has committed similar violation...
