California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi Insurance Commissioner yesterday delivered a strong message to the Legislature urging them to take immediate action to avoid a complete collapse of California's workers' compensation system. Garamendi told the Assembly Insurance Committee that he is sponsoring AB 1357. That bill would drop from four to three the board members that are policyholders (plus one from labor).
