A California appellate court upheld a jury's award against a homeowner for damages to an employee of a swimming pool company for injuries from a propane explosion. Case: Regalado v. Callaghan, No. D069647, 09/16/206, unpublished. Facts: Jeffrey M. Callaghan acquired building permits for a home and acted as the general contractor for the project. He hired Dunn's Designer Pools to build a pool and spa at the home, and he instructed Dunn's that he wanted to have the pool equipment installed in an underground vault.
