Claims for COVID-19 decreased significantly starting in February 2022 to about 2% of reported indemnity claims, according to the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California.
The WCIRB said COVID-19 claims accounted for nearly one in every seven indemnity claims in the first few months of the pandemic.
