The Oregon Legislature passed a bill that would eliminate the minimum leave time requirement for injured workers to receive temporary disability benefits.
The state House of Representatives on Monday voted 57-0 to pass SB 418. The Senate voted 28-0 to pass the bill April 10.
The measure, by Sen. Chris Gorsek, D-Troutdale, would eliminate the requirement that workers must miss at least four hours when receiving medical treatment for a compensable injury in order to receive TD benefits. Under SB 418, workers would be eligible for TD for any time missed while getting treatment.
