Medical Marijuana Sparks Cost-Containment Discussion

ORLANDO, Florida — Formularies, medical marijuana and fee schedules all have a role to play in reducing workers’ compensation costs for prescription drugs, according to a discussion among regulators from 27 states. Officials voiced their wide-ranging ideas and experiences during a regulators’ roundtable Monday as part of the 70th annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference.
