The California Workers' Compensation Institute on Monday asked state regulators to broaden the definition of claims administrator in proposed changes to the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule.
The Division of Workers' Compensation held a public hearing Monday on the drafted changes to the regulations governing the fee schedule.
In section 9793 titled "Definitions," the CWCI said it preferred that the DWC use a "consistent and comprehensive definition of claims administrator" that includes UEF, SIF, SISF
and CIGA.
