L&I Proposing Changes to Record-Keeping Rules

The Washington state Department of Labor & Industries is proposing changes to its record-keeping rules to ensure they are at least as effective as those promulgated by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Proposed rules would add language requiring employers to establish and maintain medical records as well as records for all occupational injuries resulting from contaminated needle sticks or cuts from contaminated sharps.
