A former teacher's aide who is the head of a local branch of the NAACP has been charged with workers' compensation fraud after authorities say he misrepresented a previous back condition.
Louis Anderson, 60, head of the Charlotte County NAACP in Florida, said he was injured in a 2018 incident with a violent student. He had worked with troubled children for the Sarasota County School Board, according to a local news report.
