Firefighter Cancer Bill Heading to Governor

A bill that would allow the Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to increase reimbursement rate for medical treatment provided to some firefighters with accepted cancer claims is heading to the desk of Gov. David Ige. The House of Representatives and the Senate on Tuesday both voted to approve a final version of House Bill 1778, by Rep. Scott Saiki, D-McMully.
