Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek signed a bill eliminating a requirement that injured workers seeking medical treatment must miss at least four hours before they’re allowed to collect temporary disability benefits.
The governor on Thursday signed SB 418, by Sen. Chris Gorsek, D-Troutdale.
The bill allows injured workers to receive TD benefits when receiving compensable medical services without a minimum leave requirement. The bill also allows carriers to require workers to confirm the period they are absent from work.
