The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that the assessment for the Workers’ Benefit Fund will drop by 10% in 2024.
The division said the assessment will be lowered to 2 cents per hour worked next year from the current 2.2 cents per hour worked.
The WBF assessment pays for return-to-work programs as well as cost-of-living increases for those with permanent and total disabilities. Employers are required to pay at least half of the assessment and can deduct up to half from workers’ wages.
