A Rutland, Vt., police officer has been suspended with pay and is the subject of a criminal investigation centered on receipt of workers’ compensation benefits, Vermont Today reported.Rutland Police Chief James Baker said Joseph M. Warfle, a longtime patrol officer who also serves as the police chief in Pittsford, Vt., has been working on limited duty status.
