Industrial Commission Assessment Drops to Lowest Level in 22 Years

Arizona employers will pay less to support the state’s workers’ compensation system than they did last year. The Industrial Commission announced Monday that its board of directors voted Oct. 5 to set the Administrative Fund tax on policies at 1.75% of premium, down from 2.25% currently. The decrease takes effect Jan. 1. The commission said the decrease brings the total assessment rate on employers to its lowest point in 22 years.
