CoreChoice Launches Exclusive Provider Organization

CoreChoice Inc. has developed and implemented an additional medical cost containment model called the Exclusive Provider Organization for workers’ compensation.

CoreChoice said in a statement that it works with clients to develop a specific network in a given region to provide direct access care “at a very competitive price.”

In return for accepting lower reimbursement rates, providers receive all of the referrals from the insurance carrier or employer group contracting with CoreChoice. CoreChoice said its network of medical providers is extensive and nationwide.

“While the primary CoreChoice model is that of a specialty network/PPO to reprice radiology and interventional pain management claims in the workers’ compensation sector, we saw an opportunity to develop a specific network for our clients and others focused on competitive medical pricing, an innovative referral process and dedicated client support groups,” Dr. Steven Gass, CEO of CoreChoice, said in a statement.

The CoreChoice EPO model allows direct referrals for each patient, patient tracking and will provide reports within 48 hours of an exam.

CoreChoice said it will provide monthly utilization statements to clients as well as reports to its network radiology facilities.
