Dentist Receives Three-Year Sentence for Fraudulent Disability Claim

A New Jersey judge sentenced a Freehold, N.J., dentist to three years in state prison for stealing more than $530,000 in Social Security and disability benefits during a 13-year period.Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Frederick DeVesa also ordered Michael Monica, 65, to pay restitution after Monica pleaded guilty to theft by deception.
