The town of Fishkill, N.Y., has negotiated a deal to pay $2,638 a month toward retiring more than $288,000 in liabilities left from its membership in a failed group self-insured trust.The Poughkeepsie Journal said the Fishkill's Town Board approved the deal Friday in an agreement with the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) that calls for paying off half of the assessment over 60 months at 3.75% interest.The newspaper said town officials are disputing the other half of the bill.
