A former running back and wide receiver in the Lingerie Football League has sued the organization for misclassifying players as independent contractors.
Melissa Margulies, who played for the Los Angeles Temptation when it won Lingerie Bowl VII in 2010, filed the class-action suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on June 27. According to a Lexology.com update from the Pepper Hamilton law firm, Margulies' complaint alleged that the league didn't pay minimum wage, failed to pay overtime and didn't compensate employees for all the hours they worked.
