Insurance Division Releases Proposed Rules for Electronic Documents

The Nevada Division of Insurance published proposed regulations to implement a 2017 bill authorizing electronic delivery of notices and other documents. Gov. Brian Sandoval in May signed into law AB 455, allowing insurers to electronically deliver documents and to post notices or documents to an electronic network or website. The bill takes effect Oct. 1 and requires parties agree to receive documents electronically.
