Pharmaceutical Plant and Temp. Staffing Firm Cited for Safety Violations

A New Jersey manufacturer of beauty and pharmaceutical products faces $45,000 in penalties after the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspected its plant in response to a complaint and found that the company had failed to train temporary workers on chemical hazards and exposed them to excessive noise. OSHA said in a press release that it found 14 serious violations at Bentley Laboratories in Edison during the Oct. 16 inspection.
