Preferred Employers Insurance Hires New Sr. Underwriter

Preferred Employers Insurance, which offers specialty workers’ compensation insurance in California, announced the hiring of Minoo Bhatia as a senior business development underwriter.

Bhatia will focus on generating and managing major underwriting opportunities for the company, Preferred said in a statement issued Tuesday.

Bhatia brings more than 25 years of workers’ compensation experience to Preferred, having worked in claims, auditing, sales and underwriting.

Preferred Employers Insurance, a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley, was founded in San Diego in 1998.
