OSHA has cited a brick manufacturing plant in Endicott for three serious safety violations after a worker there was fatally crushed in a machine.
Endicott Clay Products faces $15,300 in proposed penalties stemming from the June 16 incident, OSHA said in a news release on Wednesday.
According to OSHA, the 41-year-old worker was crushed by a brick-setting machine as he was retrieving bricks from a kiln. The machine did not have required safety guards installed, OSHA said.
