Couple Charged With Shirking Comp Coverage on Five Employees

The owners of a construction company have been charged with fraud after they failed to secure workers' compensation insurance and claimed they had no employees, the New York state inspector general announced. Peter and Kathryn McCann, owners of PMC Construction, in Pearl River, New York, were arrested last week after investigators documented the lapse in coverage.
