Illegal Opioid Prescribing Leads to Prison for Albion Doctor

A family practice doctor in Albion, Michigan, has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for illegally prescribing opioids and committing health care fraud. Dr. Horace Junior Davis, 55, must also pay restitution and serve two years of supervised release after his prison sentence, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Andrew Birge’s Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
