Guilty Plea Marks 14th Conviction of Former Long Island RR Workers

Another retired Long Island Rail Road employee has pleaded guilty to filing a fraudulent application for disability benefits, bringing the total of retirees who admitted to scamming the railroad to 14, Newsday reported.Daniel Denis, 60, pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud, conspiracy and false statements to the federal Railroad Retirement Board and agreed to pay $371,000 in restitution as part of a plea agreement, the newspaper said.Prosecutors say Denis conspired with Dr. Peter Ajemian to file a false disability claim.
