Federal authorities have charged a New York City building inspector with soliciting and accepting a bribe in return for rescinding a stop-work order for safety violations at a construction site.
Francesco Ginestri, 36, of Queens, was charged Wednesday with taking a $1,200 bribe after meeting with a construction company supervisor last summer, according to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
