A former insurance agency owner found guilty of stealing more than $2.1 million in a fraud scheme has been sentenced to 78 months in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of Connecticut announced.
In December, a jury found Earl O’Garro Jr., 33, formerly of Marlborough, guilty of two counts of wire fraud and one count of mail fraud. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, O’Garro defrauded a specialty lender, insurance carriers and the state of Connecticut.
