Board Proposes New Rules on Medical Providers, Bill Disputes

The New York State Workers' Compensation Commission is accepting comments on proposed changes to the medical billing dispute resolution process, in keeping with a 2019 law that expands the types of providers who may treat injured workers. The proposed rules, published in the New York Register last week, require that all medical services adhere to the state's fee schedule, and prescribes the process for settling billing disputes.
