The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation has set a June 14 hearing date to consider a proposed amendment to regulations that would give employers who are issued a stop work order for failure to provide coverage up to five years to pay off the penalty.
The division proposes to amend Rule 69L-6.025, which governs the procedures to conditionally release an employer from a stop-work order upon a finding that the employer has complied with the coverage requirements of Chapter 440, Florida Statutes, and has agreed to make installment payments on any penalty amounts.,br>
