Calif. Roofers Reminded to Get Comp Coverage

The California Contractors State Licensing Board sent out a reminder Wednesday that a new law signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on May 26 will require all active roofing contractors to obtain workers' compensation coverage. Assembly Bill 881 contains new licensing requirements for all 6,000 licensees with an active Roofing (C-39) classification, the board said in a press release.
