Higher Average Wage Bumps Benefits Up Slightly

The Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission announced maximum temporary and permanent total disability benefits increased to $1,341.07 for the period between July 15 and Jan. 14, 2015, because of an increase in the state’s average weekly wage. The maximum benefit for temporary and permanent total disability claims, as well as permanent partial disability cases involving amputation or enucleation of an eye are increasing 0.3% from $1,002.68 for the period between Jan. 15 and July 14. The minimum benefits for PTD and PPD claims involving amputation or eye loss increased to $502.90...
