Doctor Convicted in Pacific Hospital Scheme Ordered to Serve Two Years, Forfeit $3M

A Southern California doctor who admitted to receiving more than $1.5 million in illegal kickbacks from Pacific Hospital of Long Beach was ordered to serve two years in federal prison and forfeit $3 million in criminal proceeds. Dr. Timothy J. Hunt will be required to surrender to serve his federal prison sentence by Nov. 12. He will be on supervised release for three years after he completes his term of incarceration.
