The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board announced that it will expand in September the number of claims that it indexes.
The WCB said the majority of claims assembled on or after Sept. 26 that have an employee claim or first report of injury and a medical report of treatment will be indexed.
The only exceptions will be claims already controverted at the time they become eligible for indexing; claims already accepted without liability; and medical-only claims where the agreement to compensate code has been left blank.
