Proposal Would Make Max PD Benefits 5th Highest in Country

Oregon workers with permanent disabilities would enjoy the fifth highest weekly benefit payments in the nation under a legislative proposal drafted by the state’s Workers’ Compensation Division. The maximum permanent total disability benefit of $974.20 per week currently paid to Oregon workers is the 17th highest in the country, just above North Carolina and just under Tennessee, according to a chart of maximum benefits maintained by the Social Security Administration.
